Riyadh: Dr. Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Tamimi, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), inaugurated the eighth edition of the CT Indicators Forum 2022 (G20 Countries), In Riyadh on Tuesday.

Through his opening speech, Dr. Al-Tamimi stated that the progress seen in the communications and information technology sector in Saudi Arabia reflects the wise leadership’s interest and support for this vital sector.

He described Saudi Arabia’s communications business as one of the fastest expanding in the G20. Thanks to the incentives provided by Saudi Vision 2030 and its role in boosting growth and innovation.
It pushed Saudi Arabia to the sixth rank among G20 countries in terms of market value. It achieved the highest rates of progress and achievement among them through the frequency spectrum allocated for mobile communication services at the international level. Making it rank second among G20 countries.

He also said that the forum focuses on three main goals: providing the latest data and information on the sector through modern and performance indicators. It also sheds light on the latest global communications and information technology trends.
