Jeddah — The Hajj and Umrah Ministry has started receiving requests for booking and issuing special permits to perform Umrah for domestic and foreign pilgrims through the Eatmarna application.
The ministry announced that it has begun issuing bookings and permits for Umrah effective from the new Umrah season on Muharram 1, 1444, corresponding to July 30, 2022.
According to the statement, the ministry will cancel the permit of persons infected with coronavirus or who had contact with an infected person.
This directive is among several terms and conditions issued by the ministry for issuing Umrah permits and for entry to the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The requirements include health status verification through the Tawakkalna application. Compliance with wearing a mask throughout the pilgrim’s presence inside the Grand Mosque.
Exiting the Grand Mosque after completing the Umrah rituals. And not carrying any unauthorized bags and luggage while entering the Grand Mosque.
The ministry revealed that Saudi citizens and residents within the Kingdom could book and get issued permits through the Eatmarna application.
The GCC states and pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom and GCC states can also obtain Umrah permits. By following the easiest and simplest procedures and steps available on the application.
These measures are a part of the ministry’s efforts to facilitate the services provided to the pilgrims to perform Umrah with ease and comfort.

The issuance of an Umrah visa through the Eatmarna application will follow an integrated system of health services.
The approved measures placed by the concerned authorities maintain the safety and health of pilgrims and visitors. The easy procedures ensure the performance of the Umrah rituals in an air of spirituality.
The Eatmarna application provides several options for booking appointments per the capacity of the Grand Mosque around the clock. The application also provides detailed instructions for visiting the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The App’s reservation page shows the position and capacity of reservations in color for all days of the month effective from July 30. It explicitly details the possibility of booking and availability of confirmation.
Different colors represent the rush situation. Green means light crowding, orange for medium crowding, and red for heavy crowding. And gray indicates the unavailability of appointments.

The ministry started receiving requests on July 14 for pilgrims from abroad. The requests were to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah starting from Muharram 1. An Umrah Visa applicant from abroad can get all details by visiting the ministry’s link.
The ministry explained the regulations for the qualification of foreign agents. The services providing agents for Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque need to submit a qualification request through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah portal,
The agents must adhere to the rules and regulations described in the portal. They must attach documents and data of their commercial registration and membership of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
