Makkah — The expatriate’s entry ban to Makkah without permits comes into force on Thursday.

The public security spokesman, Brig. Gen. Sami Al-Shuwairekh said that this was in line with the instructions for the implementation of regulations for the Hajj Pilgrimage 2022.

“As per these instructions, only expatriate who obtain a entry permit to Makkah will be allowed into the holy city from Thursday, Shawwal 25, corresponding to May 26.
They can obtain permits from the security control centers at the entry points to Makkah,” he said.

He said that all vehicles and residents without the required documents would be returned.

These documents include an entry permit to work at the holy sites issued by the competent authority, a residency permit (iqama) issued from Makkah, an Umrah permit, and a Hajj permit.
