The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that children aged seven and above can now obtain a permit to enter the two Holy Mosques.

Only Children with “immune” health status can now obtain permits to enter the Holy Mosques precincts.

Jeddah: Friday, the Saudi Gazette reports the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that children aged seven and above can now obtain a permit to enter the two Holy Mosques.

Subject to the Tawakkalna application shows their health status as “immune” to ensure their safety.

The ministry has said anyone within Saudi Arabia wishing to perform Umrah is required to obtain a permit; from the “Eatmarna” or “Tawakkalna” applications on the condition that their health status on the app is “immune”; and updated beneficiary data in the “Absher” system. 

The ministry stressed that permits for recurrent Umrah would be issued once every ten days. When asked whether this arrangement will continue during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
