Riyadh: King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, issued a Royal Decree on Monday. The decree extends the deadline for receiving property ownership applications. It also amends the rules for considering such applications.
According to the regulations, aerial photography will be used to alter the nature of real estate instruments.

Governor of the State Properties General Authority Ihsan Bafakih said the extended period for receiving applications starts from Dec. 9, 2021.

The new regulations allow accepting requests for formal amendments to real estate instruments. The new rules also permit adopting the closest aerial or space photography from Feb. 7, 1986.
The General Authority approves for Survey and Geospatial Information for the applications whose area exceeds 2,500 and 5,000 square meters (sqm) respectively for residential and agricultural plots.
