Riyadh — The Ministry of Umrah and Hajj announced that it had canceled the Umrah host visa. The ministry’s declaration of visa cancelation came in reply to people’s queries in this regard.
In addition, the Absher platform established that it is not possible to provide the Umrah host visa through the platform; and asked people to communicate with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on this issue.

The Ministry of Umrah and Hajj stated that the Umrah host visa is subject to the standards and requirements that regulate it. The ministry said that it would not be implemented, and there is no particular time for its activation.
Interestingly, the Umrah host visa had permitted citizens and residents to holds pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia; in accordance with specific regulations and enabled them to bring and host 3-5 pilgrims.

The Umrah visa used to be issued through the citizens’ civil status registry and via the residents’ residency.
