Makkah — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced it will begin Umrah bookings from July 19. A week after the Hajj season ends this year.
The ministry announcement states that people wishing to perform Umrah would be able to book an appointment starting from Tuesday, Dhul Hijjah 20.
The ministry has decided to limit the Umrah pilgrims to only the Hajj pilgrims at present. This decision will facilitate the safety and rituals of the present pilgrims and control overcrowding.
The ministry said that the Umrah facility will be available only for the Hajj pilgrims until Tuesday, 20 Dhul Hijjah 1443 AH.

The ministry also announced the resounding success of its group plan for pilgrims. The plan’s success was evident as 90 percent completed the pebble-throwing ritual at the Jamarat within two days.
The pilgrims, with early departures, left Mina on the second day of Tashreeq on Monday. These pilgrims then reached the Grand Mosque to perform the farewell circumambulation, the last of the Hajj rites.
Tawaf Al-Wida (farewell circumambulation) is performed after the stoning ritual at the three pillars symbolizing Satan.
