Jeddah — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced an electronic design for the Umrah Trip program for pilgrims from abroad.
The new season began on Saturday, Muharram 1. This option will be available through one of the approved electronic platforms by entering the link.
The ministry has stated that pilgrims and visitors from abroad can choose this program directly. They do not require an intermediary during the new annual Umrah season.
The first batch of overseas pilgrims arrived in Makkah to perform the Umrah pilgrimage on Saturday, July 30. These arrivals mark the beginning of the new Umrah season.

The General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the pilgrims from abroad using an integrated system of most satisfactory services. It has made preparations throughout the Grand Mosque in Makkah and its courtyards for the pilgrims to perform their prayer rituals comfortably and easily.
“All the preparations have been made to serve the pilgrims. These preparations will facilitate their transport and accommodation procedures. The Umrah service providers have made finishing touches to their operational plans in this respect,” reports a source within the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
This new system will facilitate the pilgrims’ journey to the Kingdom. It will ensure high-quality services to perform the Umrah rituals in a spiritual ambiance.

It will also enrich the cultural and religious experience of the pilgrims through easy and accessible electronic procedures that shorten the time and effort during their stay.
The ministry sources revealed that Umrah pilgrims could also approach one of the approved tourism companies or agencies in their countries to purchase a package of services and complete the requirements for issuing visas.
They can book Umrah dates at the Grand Mosque and pray at the Rawda Sharif. The foreign pilgrims can go through the list of approved foreign agents published by the ministry through the link.
The requirements for issuing an Umrah visa for foreign pilgrims include a return ticket, travel insurance policy, housing reservation, transportation, and field service package from one of the approved Saudi Umrah companies or establishments.
There are more than 500 qualified Saudi Umrah service-providing companies and establishments. At the same time, there are over 2000 Ministry of Hajj and Umrah accredited foreign agents globally. The Umrah pilgrims will be allowed to move around and travel to all regions and governorates across Saudi Arabia.

The ministry sources stated that Umrah pilgrims could also book the dates of performing Umrah and prayer at the Rawda Sharif in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah before coming to the Kingdom.
These bookings are through the Tawakkalna application. However, the procedure follows capacity limits available at the Grand Mosque in Makkah at the time of the request.
