Riyadh— Saudi universities have moved forward in the World University Rankings index, QS 2022. 14 Saudi universities made it to the 2022 classification compared to 9 in 2019.
This jump in numbers is primarily due to the efforts of the Ministry of Education to improve educational standards to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals advanced on their previous QS standings.
These universities are ranked from 51 to 319 globally.
The latest QS rankings are in engineering and technology, life sciences, natural sciences, and medicine. Also, for theoretical specialization in social sciences and management.
King Abdulaziz University is ranked in the top 100 international universities in engineering and technology. It stands the 51st globally. In addition, it is ranked 132nd in natural sciences, a jump of 78 positions from last year.
King Abdulaziz University is ranked 109th globally in life sciences and medicine and 104th in social sciences and management. It has progressed to the ranking of 271st place in humanities and literature.

King Saud University is ranked 185th globally in engineering and technology. It holds 295th position in natural sciences and is 171sin life sciences and medicine., It is 319th globally in management and social sciences.

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is 87th among the 100 best engineering universities. The university also advanced 119 points in natural sciences from its 2019 ranking to reach 281st rank globally in the classification.
