AL-QURAYYAT — Al-Qurayyat Train will start operations in March 2022. The 320-km Al-Jouf and Al-Qurayyat Railway represents the fourth and final phase of the operation of the North Train, which extends from Riyadh to Al-Qurayyat with a length of 1,215 km.
This was revealed during an Al-Qurayyat train station inspection tour by Al-Jouf Emir Prince Faisal Bin Nawaf on Monday.
Governor of Qurayyat Abdullah Al-Jasser, Executive Vice President of Saudi Railway Company (SAR) for Infrastructure Eng. Abdullah Al-Yousef and other senior officials received the emir.
Prince Faisal’s tour covered various facilities of the railway station. He also watched a video presentation about the railway station development program and completing the necessary infrastructure works to operate safe trips to and from Al-Qurayyat station.
The station development program included two main projects of repairing affected areas in the railway line between Al-Jouf and Al-Qurayyat and establishing a light maintenance workshop for the passenger train.
Prince Faisal stressed the importance of operating the station on time so that the people of the province can benefit from its services after completing its work under the required safety standards to fulfill achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
