Arab Coalition’s Yemen Strikes Hit Hezbollah Experts

The Kingdom is faced with an almost daily nuisance of explosive drone attacks, which do not affect the Saudi air defenses.

Riyadh: The Arab coalition said on Thursday airstrikes in Yemen; took out a secret hideout belonging to the Iran Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah.

Identified locations in the capital Sanaa; the governorates of Dhamar, Saada, and Al-Jawf were hit in a coalition operation weakening the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Al Arabiya TV reports that coalition forces struck Al-Dulaimi airbase and warehouses at the Sanaa airbase.

Hours earlier, the coalition destroyed an explosive drone targeting the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s Asir province.

The Kingdom is faced with an almost daily nuisance of explosive drone attacks, which do not affect the Saudi air defenses.

Earlier in October, a Houthi drone targeted the same airport, injuring four workers caused by falling debris.

The resource-rich Marib has seen intense fighting between the Houthis and the Yemeni government. 

Saudi Arabia offered a roadmap, ‘the Riyadh Initiative’ to end fighting in Yemen, reopen Sanaa airport, and continue talks. However, the proposal welcomed internationally was rejected by Houthi leadership.

The war, which has lasted for seven years, has cost thousands of Yemeni lives and driven many to dependence on humanitarian aid.
