Riyadh – Dana Ali Mohsen has become the first Saudi female volleyball coach to participate in the European Volleyball Federation Program, held from Sept. 24 to 26 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
She was among ten coaches picked from the Asian continent to participate in the international training to enhance their qualification to undertake national volleyball projects for beginners. Her participation was made possible with the support of the Saudi Volleyball Federation.
Dana expressed her happiness and pride over getting the unique opportunity to represent Saudi Arabia in training and participation in the international tournament. “I am very confident that Saudi women have the ambition to achieve success, in light of the support and attention we receive from the Ministry of Sports.
The European program is classified as ‘the’ deal for trainers and physical education teachers working at the grassroots level. More than 150 male and female coaches participated in the European Volleyball Program.
Dana began playing volleyball from an early age, up until it became her daily routine before she developed a passion for training and leading to the establishment of her team named “Blue Clickers.”
The Blue Clickers were among the teams participating in the first Saudi Women’s Volleyball Championship, held in August and September.
