Tel Aviv: According to Israeli security officials, two suspected gunmen killed two individuals in a Northern Israeli city on Sunday.
The shooters, who police said were Arab Israeli citizens, opened fire on officers on a significant route in Hadera. North of Tel Aviv.
According to police, the two gunmen were then shot dead by undercover detectives. Four more people were brought to the hospital, while two more got treated at the scene. No organization has as yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
According to emergency medical personnel, a man and a woman got murdered in the incident. According to Reuters, the two attackers were shot dead by other police officers eating at a nearby restaurant.
“Our officers successfully neutralized the assailants and prevented a larger terrorist attack,” National Police Spokesman Eli Levy told Israeli television.
Four Israelis got killed only five days earlier and dozens more injured in an incident in Beersheba, Israel’s southernmost city.
The attacker got identified as an Israeli Arab who had served a prison sentence for aiding the Islamic State group.
The event occurred on the eve of Israel’s “historic summit” with three Arab governments. With which it has normalized relations and Egypt and the United States.

Yair Lapid, Israel’s Foreign Minister, said that all of his counterparts at the meeting had condemned the incident. The Hamas Militant Group that administers Gaza, on the other hand, hailed it.
