Riyadh — The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission of Saudi Arabia has announced that the visitors to the 2021 Riyadh International Book Fair will be allowed free entry to the venue, but they need to register online.
The international book fair will be held from October 1-10 at the “Riyadh Front.”
Online registration will use the Tawakkalna app to confirm the health status and fulfill the Ministry of Health requirements concerning the Covid-19 health protocols to ensure the safety of all.
The commission revealed that the Book Fair in its current edition would have the facility for ordering books online through a virtual exhibition prepared for coordination with participating publishers. The opening of the virtual platform will coincide with the official launch of the book show.
The new service targets those interested in purchasing books but cannot visit the exhibition in person.
The commission explained that specific preventive measures are part of the health requirements regarding the book signing platforms. The commission has also allocated a service on the electronic medium to reserve slots for the book signing.
Over a thousand publishing houses from 28 countries will participate in the Book Fair’s latest edition.
