Riyadh — Saudi Arabia’s defense sector was in the spotlight in London at the Defense and Security Equipment International event.
Invest Saudi participated in the four-day event alongside 114 countries and was attended by more than 40,000 visitors. The event showcased investment opportunities available in this Defence sector.
International entities and investors have presented a private roadshow where investment and partnership opportunities were discussed in detail by Saudi government leaders.
Abdulrahman AlMzaid, the managing director of Defense Sector at the Ministry of Investment, was delighted at the Saudi sponsorship of the event and said, there has never been a better time to invest in Saudi Arabia, with the improved ways of doing business; these improvements are the result Vision 2030 a historic economic transformation plan.
Despite the turbulent times in the global investments due to the Covid pandemic, Saudi Arabia’s FDI inflows have grown, with the Saudi Central Bank reporting a 20% uptick in 2020.
In recent years, this steady FDI growth was driven by the economic and business reforms that made doing business in Saudi Arabia quicker, more accessible, less costly, and lower risk than ever before.
