Jeddah — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); instructed all airlines operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to exempt all Saudis traveling from Ukraine; and their non-Saudi dependents from providing a PCR test requirements before entering the country.

The authority said a passenger must take a PCR test within 48 hours of arrival as a requirement.
It also said that failure to comply with the instructions would require the government to take legal action against anyone who violates them.

The Kingdom on Feb. 9 has announced that regardless of vaccination status, Saudi citizens and foreign nationals traveling to the Kingdom; must present proof of a negative result of an approved PCR or rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours of departure.
Riyadh — New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia stayed well below the 1,000-mark on Tuesday; with 563 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health reports three persons have died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

The number of confirmed covid infections in the Kingdom is 745,590, and the number of virus-related fatalities is 9,001.
