Riyadh — The new academic calendar for Saudi Arabia was announced. Students resume classes in all academic stages of public education institutes from Sunday, May 8.
The post-Ramadan and Eid classes resume the educational process for the third semester.

The education departments in several regions around the Kingdom have approved the start of the school day in the summertime.
The education departments of Wadi Al-Dawasir and Al-Aflaj, and Asir announced the schools would be at 6.45 am. Adding that the first class would begin at 7 am.

The Northern Borders Region announced the morning assembly for boys’ schools would start at 7 am. The first class will begin at 7.15 am.
While the morning assembly for girls’ schools will begin at 6.45 am, and the first class at 7 am.
Students will get extended weekends twice for study holidays during the third semester. The first break is on 25/05/2022, and the second is on 15/06/2022.

The school year vacation for the third semester will begin on 30/06/2022, corresponding to 01/12/1443.
The Ministry of Education stated its decision of a three-semester system in schools would positively impact raising the efficiency of education institutes within its system. The impact will affect students, parents, and teachers.
The ministry has assessed that the third-semester classes would significantly help improve students’ educational performance: their knowledge accumulation, skills, and participation in extracurricular activities.
