The Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan, Walid Al-Rushaidan, handed over the shipment to the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.

Dushanbe, July 19, 2021, SPA — Under the directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, a medical aid shipment worth $500,000 arrived in Tajikistan from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid KSrelief, to contribute to the fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including masks, gloves, and medical protective clothing.

The Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan, Walid Al-Rushaidan, handed over the shipment to the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.

The Deputy Minister of Health praised the assistance provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief to Tajikistan. He appreciated the historical relations of the two friendly countries, adding that the Kingdom has a leading role in providing humanitarian and relief assistance to various parts of the world, which has earned it this global prestige.

Since the pandemic, Saudi Arabia has provided several medical and preventive equipment to various countries worldwide to support international efforts to combat the COVID-19 and reduce its risks.

KSrelief, in continuation of HRH King Salman’s directive, KSrelief distributed Clothing for Eid Al-Adha to 1,000 Yemeni orphans in Aden, Al-Mahra, and Marib Governorates of Yemen.
