Buraidah — The Qassim region branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development managed to recover workers’ delayed rights in wages. The total withheld wages amounted to SR363,335.

The department made these recoveries during September 12-16 after reaching an amicable settlement with employers.

Dr. Fahd Al-Mutlaq, director-general of a branch of the ministry, said that the settlement department at the branch had received 902 total requests for settlement in the month of August, all of these through the electronic Wuddi system, which allows filing lawsuits and sending an electronic notification to the accused party.

Dr. Fahd has stressed that establishments should not delay the workers’ right to their wages without a legitimate reason. This correct practice of timely payment of wages, the Minister pointed out, is so that the organization does not fall under the penalties stipulated in the Labor Law.
