Riyadh: Non-Saudis, who have legal residence status in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, can now own one property within the Kingdom.
The Absher platform has detailed three requirements that each expatriate is required to fulfill in order to qualify to buy a property in the Kingdom.
The platform explained with the support of infographics that the service enables non-national residents of Saudi Arabia to apply for a permit to own a property within the Kingdom. Following are the three conditions as listed by Absher,
— The foreigner should have a valid and unexpired residency ID (Muqeem).
— The resident must provide all information about the property along with a copy of the title deed.
— They should not have another property in the Kingdom.
Absher statement added that the service could be availed by accessing “My Services” (Khidmaty) on the Absher platform; the user then required to enter “Services” (Khidmat), then “General Services” (Al-Khidmatul Aamma), and from there to “Application for owning real estate for non-Saudis.”
The Option of One-Property ownerships for ex-pats will add a further boost to the real estate market and is in line with Kingdoms Vision 2030.
