Friday, over a million pilgrims, ascended the plains of Arafat in their seamless white clothes. This afternoon, the white sea of humanity began their ritual of standing at Arafat, the essential pillar of Hajj.
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Issa delivered the Arafat sermon in resemblance to the farewell sermon by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Arafat marked the climax of the annual pilgrimage of Hajj, with over one million pilgrims ascending the vast plains On Friday. Pilgrims were robbed in unstitched white cloth that resembled a white sea.

Pilgrims chanted “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (O God, here I am answering Your call)…,” as they reached Namirah Mosque in Arafat after spending a night of meditation and introspection in the Tent City of Mina.
In his sermon, Sheikh Al-Issa urged all Muslims to obey what God commanded and avoid what He prohibited to attain victory, salvation, and happiness in this world and the hereafter.
He called on the pilgrims to ensure that our interactions are harmonious and compassionate.”
Wuqoof Arafat, one of the four pillars of Hajj, begins after noon prayers. Pilgrims would engage in prayers and supplications until after sunset.

They will seek forgiveness and the pleasures of Allah. Many worshippers held umbrellas against the fierce sun while chanting Talbiyah and reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an after ascending Jabal Al-Rahma (the Mount of Mercy) in Arafat.
Muslims in most parts of the world observe fasting on Friday as a sign of solidarity with the pilgrims. It is a great Sunnah for those who do not perform Hajj to observe fasting on Arafat Day.
Saudi authorities have mobilized all their resources and facilities to successfully move pilgrims from Mina to Arafat. Multiple government sectors taking part in the service of pilgrims provide all medical, emergency, and catering services in Arafat.

After completing the ritual of standing at Arafat till sunset, pilgrims move to Muzdalifah, reciting the Talbiyah continuously.
Eight hundred fifty thousand foreign and 150000 domestic pilgrims are performing the biggest Hajj pilgrimage since the pandemic this year.
Only pilgrims under 65 with completed coronavirus vaccination and a negative PCR test are allowed to perform Hajj this year.
