Riyadh — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued orders on Tuesday to terminate the service of Public Security Director Gen. Khaled Al-Harbi with his retirement.

The King also directed that Gen. Al-Harbi and 18 others accused of corruption be referred to the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) to investigate the charges and take necessary legal measures against them, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The royal decree stated that the decision was based on a report submitted by the concerned authority about Gen. Al-Harbi’s involvement in many violations to take possession of public money for personal benefit.

According to the decree, Gen. Al-Harbi is accused of committing several crimes, including forgery, bribery, and abuse of power, with 18 other accused from the public and private sectors.
