Riyadh Season Rakes in SR 550 million, with a footfall of almost a Million Visitors

Riyadh — Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, has revealed that the number of visitors to various events and activities of the Riyadh Season 2021 reached nearly 1 million.

“The events have fetched about SR550 million in direct income so far,” he said in a statement on his Twitter account.

Al-Sheikh credited these remarkable achievements to the support, guidance, and planning of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and the coordination of various agencies. Al-Sheikh added, “In less than ten days, we have approached the mark of a million visitors and SR550 million in revenue from the Season so far… and what coming is even better.”

Al-Sheikh opened Riyadh Season 2, the Middle East’s largest-ever entertainment event, on Oct. 20. The opening ceremony featured an impressive parade, dazzling shows of drones, and spectacular fireworks that lit up the capital city’s skies.

The Riyadh Season is an exhibition of 7,500 extraordinary shows, performances, and fun-filled activities. The entire event is divided across 14 entertainment zones spread over a total area of 5.4 million square meters. The festival will end in March 2022.
