The act of the Gang is a violation of law and the contract of employment of the maids. The subsequent raid following the details provided by the arrested gang members resulted in the additional arrest of the 18 housemaids.
The ministry sources disclosed that the two expatriates, in coordination with the contracting firm, were hiring out these housemaids to companies and establishments to work as part-time cleaning workers.
Several expatriates who were involved in transporting and finding jobs for the housemaids were also arrested. However, the ministry sources added that all the legal procedures have started against them before awarding penal actions against them.
