Moscow — On Monday, Saudi Arabia and Russia signed an agreement to develop joint military cooperation between the two countries, as announced by Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman.

Prince Khalid is visiting Moscow as a part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. “I signed an agreement with the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Colonel General Alexander Fomin between the Kingdom and the Russian Federation to develop joint military cooperation between the two countries,” the Prince mentioned on his Twitter account.

Prince Khalid met with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu earlier to “explore ways to strengthen the military and defense cooperation” to the mutual benefit of the two countries.

“We discussed our common endeavor to preserve stability and security in the region and reviewed shared challenges facing our countries,” Prince Khalid mentioned in another tweet.

The Saudi Deputy Defense Minister arrived in Moscow on an official visit to attend and participate in the 7th International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2021”. Held from 22 till 28 August 2021, at Patriot Expo, Kubinka Air Base, and Alabino military training grounds.
