In the coming weeks, Saudia will host its first major international film festival, an art biennale, and international festivals for Fashion Futures and MDLBeast.

Riyadh: There’s an impressive list of over 100 cultural events and engagements to take place in the Kingdom by the end of the year.

The varied schedule includes many events led by the 25 cultural institutions the Ministry of Culture launched three years ago.

The Kingdom presents opportunities to both the local and international art and performance, contributing to the global creative movement.

In the coming weeks, Saudia will host its first major international film festival; an art biennale, and international festivals for Fashion Futures and MDLBeast.

In another sign of rapid progression in the newfound ambition. The Culture Ministry developed a strategy to open cultural investment opportunities through PPPs or joint ventures.

The Ministry’s role is not limited to promoting the creative industries within the Kingdom; but also developing and improving cultural exchange with its global peers.

The minister of culture Fayez says, “I am highly proud at Saudi Arabia successfully campaigning for culture and creative industries to be formally made a part of the conversation at the G20.” “It began with Saudi’s presidency last year and has continued, this means we have ensured culture a permanent place in G20 considerations and is made a part of the global economic agenda.”
