RIYADH — The Saudi Sports for All Federation, with the direct support of the Ministry of Sports; announced the holding of the first full marathon in Saudi Arabia.
This news has confirmed the Kingdom’s intent at becoming a key international sporting event organizer; and supports the growth of the sports and tourism economy in the Kingdom.
It is also an effort to encourage the members of Saudi society to participate in sports and physical activities regularly. Sports enjoy unlimited support in the Kingdom; this is in line with the leadership’s plans for and the objectives of Vision 2030.

Under the aegis of the Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, president of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, Prince Khalid Bin Alwaleed l announced the date of the Riyadh Marathon on March 5, 2022.
The Riyadh Marathon 2022 will be the first professional full marathon in the Kingdom approved by the Asian Athletics Federation. It will also include several specially designed races to suit all members of society with different abilities and levels of physical fitness.
