Saudi Arabia wins ALECSO’s Executive Council Presidency.
Hani Al Moqbil, the Saudi member of the Executive Council, was elected the chairman of the Executive Council for 2021-2023 by the members of 21 Arab countries

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia wins the presidency of the Executive Council of ALECSO, the Tunis-based Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization.

ALESCO is a specialized institution of the Arab League dealing with the development and coordination activities related to education, culture, and sciences in the Arab World. It was established in 1970 to promote Arab intellectual unity through education, culture, and sciences and enhance the educational, cultural, and scientific level in the Arab world to contribute to a universal civilization.

Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan thanked HRH King Salman and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their tremendous support that has enhanced the Kingdom’s prominent presence in various fields.

The minister said that the Kingdom’s victory in the ALECSO election confirms its regional and international leadership in the development of education, science, and culture. Furthermore, it is strengthening the ties between the countries within the ALECSO organization.

On his part, Al-Moqbil thanked King Salman and the Crown Prince for their kind approval and great support and prayed to God for success in his mission to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.

He also thanked Minister of Culture Prince Badr for the guidance, support, and empowerment during his service at ALECSO for a whole year.
