On Thursday, Riyadh — Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned a deadly terrorist attack outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said that the Kingdom is still following the current situation in Afghanistan carefully.

At least two explosions took place at the Kabul airport on Thursday as the United States and other countries strive to evacuate their citizens and Afghans at risk from the Taliban.

ACCORDING TO INITIAL REPORTS, three US officials and a source familiar with the situation said that there was some US personnel among the casualties.

Afghan nationals have been gathering at the gates in crowds, trying to access the airport, the only exit point from Kabul since the Taliban took over Kabul.

“Saudi Arabia hopes that the conditions in Afghanistan stabilize as soon as possible.”

The Kingdom reiterated it “stands with the choices that the Afghan people.”

The Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s position to reject such criminal acts incompatible with religious principles and moral and human values.

The Saudi ministry offered the Kingdom’s condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and Afghan people and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
