Riyadh — The fashion swap is built on a simple, practical concept; no money changes hands, and everyone is invited. The GFX Fashion Swap’s positive action empowers people to support the conservation of the environment by recycling and upcycling fashion items.
The Fashion Commission of Saudia is hosting the Global Fashion Exchange (GFX) as part of the United Nations SDG Campaign promoting sustainability within the industry. The event brings its popular clothing swap event to Riyadh for the first time.
The GFX Fashion Swap takes place at the Personage concept store in Riyadh on December 11-12. The event facilitates the exchange of gently used, pre-loved trend items, open to media, industry, and public members alike. The swap will also feature short workshops by industry leaders, creator stations, and educational installations to promote elements of everyday sustainability.

The GFX activation aims to shift the mindset of brands and consumers towards sustainable consumption, and encourages a more sustainable perception in the future.”
Participants can donate items at Personage Riyadh; items dropped off during the pre-collection period will be accepted as a donation.
The fashion swap on 11th and 12th December will require visitors to pre-purchase tickets and book their time slot via TicketMix. A visitor must bring at least one fashion item in a good, clean condition to partake in the swap. All articles submitted will be screened for quality and exchanged with a token. The tokens will serve as the currency for the trade at 1 for one at the check-out.
Brands available at the exchange will be, Zimmermann, Sandro, Isabel Marant, The Kooples, Maje, Zadig & Voltaire, and All Saints. The event protocol will require that all items submitted are well maintained, clean, and pressed.
