Riyadh — The Embassy of the United States in Saudi Arabia has introduced a new waiver program that allows Saudi citizens aged 50 and older to renew their visas without being interviewed. Consul General Michael Garcia said on Monday in Riyadh.

In his interview with the Al-Ekhbariya TV channel, Garcia said that any Saudi citizen who wishes to renew his tourist “B1” or “B2” visa does not have to go to the embassy or consulate if the expiration date of the previous visa hasn’t crossed 12 months.

He added further that those who want to renew this type of visa must fill out an application following the embassy website’s instructions and send it by mail.
