However, Al-Hilal has the edge over its rival in head-to-head matches. Al-Hilal remains the most successful team in the SPL. The club holds 17 titles in its history.
On Thursday, Al-Hilal beat Al-Fateh 3-0 with ten players. Salem Al-Dawsari scored the first two goals, while Odion Ighalo scored the third goal.

In another match, Al-Ittihad scored a victory over Ettifaq 3-1. Romarinho scored two goals while Abderrazak Hamdallah completed the tally, whereas the goal of Ettifaq came from Amin Younes.
Al-Ahli, the 2016 champion, is on the verge of relegation to the second division after its defeat to Al-Raed 1-3.
