In this winning, Ziyad Al-Maayouf has made history by being the first Saudi athlete to win a professional boxing match.

The match was one of the opening matches for the main event, the “Rage On The Red Sea,” fought between Oleksaandor Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

Earlier, Ziyad Al-Maayouf told Saudi Gazette that Saudi Arabia’s leadership is making the dreams come true for their youth.
He said he couldn’t believe how happy he was with the boxing champions around him.
Ziyad Al-Maayouf has praised Saudi Arabia for its support of women in boxing. The Kingdom witnessed the first female boxing match in history between two professional boxers, Ramla Ali and Crystal Garcia Nova.

He said the first female fight in the Kingdom was bigger than boxing itself. This match reflects that Saudi Arabia, the fastest growing economy in the world, empowers females in all stages.
