Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has launched the New Murabba Development Co. to create an exceptional living, working, and entertainment experience in downtown Riyadh. The project will revolve around sustainability, with green spaces, cycling and walking paths, and community activities to promote healthy lifestyles.
The development will include a multipurpose theatre, a museum, a technology and design university, and over 80 entertainment and cultural venues.
The site will cover 19 square kilometers of land and house hundreds of thousands of people. It will be located northwest of Riyadh.

The modern Najdi architectural style inspired the design of the Mukaab.
