LuLu Group International is a diversified conglomerate with multiple successful business entities in strategic locations worldwide. It started its operations in Saudi Arabia in 2009 by opening its first Hypermarket in Riyadh.
Since then, it has expanded its presence to other cities such as Jeddah, Al Khobar, Jubail, Dammam, Hofuf, Tabuk, and Al Kharj. They have more than 200 stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and India.

The Beginning of Lulu (Supermarkets)
LuLu Group International began its supermarket business in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 1995, when the region’s retail scene started to change following the entry of the Continent (now Carrefour). It has become one of the Top super markets in the region.
Later, LuLu Supermarkets opened more stores in different parts of Abu Dhabi. There are several stores in the emirate of Dubai. In the late 1990s, the company launched the Center department stores as the Group expanded to other Middle Eastern countries.
The first Hypermarket opened in the year 2000 in Dubai. The Group had embarked on an aggressive expansion plan as it grew its store chain with multiple outlets across the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, and Bahrain.
On March 10, 2013, they opened in Kochi, India. Lulu Mall in Thiruvananthapuram opened its doors to the public in December 2021. It is the company’s biggest mall in Asia.
Beginning of Lulu Hypermarket
It is a hypermarket chain and retail venture started by the Group in 2000. The first Lulu Hypermarket opened in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has over 200 stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
