Muslims perform the rituals of Hajj from the 8th Dhil-Hijjah until the 13th Dhil-Hijjah. According to various moon sighting predictions, Hajj this year will begin on Friday, June 14th.
The date, however, is tentative and subject to change according to the moon sightings. The sighting in Saudi Arabia for the Dhil-Hijjah moon will take place on June 6th, which will also confirm the dates for Eid-ul-Azha.
Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on the 10th of Dhil-Hijjah. This major Islamic holiday lasts three days and involves offering prayers, sacrificing an animal(sheep, goat, cow, or camel), and giving charity.
This year, Eid-ul-Azha is expected to be on Sunday, 16th June, preceded by the Day of Arafat, which is on 15th June. Based on last year’s Eid holidays, this year, the holidays for Eid-ul-Azha are expected to start from 16th June(Sunday) till 18th June(Tuesday). Note that these dates are tentative and might change due to moon sighting.
