If you’ve lost or damaged your vehicle’s number plate in Saudi Arabia, you can obtain a replacement by following these steps:
1. Report the Lost or Stolen Plate:
- Log in to your Absher account.
- Navigate to the “Vehicles” section and select “Vehicles Management.”
- Choose your vehicle and click on “Report Lost or Stolen Plate.”
- Submit a new request specifying whether the plate is lost or stolen, and provide the necessary details.
2. Pay the Replacement Fee:
- Access your online banking platform.
- Go to the “Payments” section and select “Government Payments.”
- Choose “Motor Vehicles” and then “Re-Issue License Plate (Two Plates).”
- Enter your Iqama number and the vehicle sequence number.
- Specify the reason for issuance (e.g., lost) and select whether you want a logo on the plate.
- The fee is SAR 100 for plates without a logo and SAR 800 for plates with a logo.
3. Request the Replacement Plate:
- After payment, return to your Absher account.
- In the “Vehicles Management” section, select your vehicle.
- Click on “Vehicle Plates Replacement.”
- Choose the size and number of plates required.
- Select your city and the preferred postal office for pickup.
- Pay an additional fee of SAR 109.25 for delivery.
- The new plates will be ready for collection in 5-7 working days.
4. Collect the New Number Plate:
- Once your plates are ready, you’ll receive an SMS with the location details.
- Visit the specified courier service office.
- Remove your current number plates and hand them over to the office.
- You’ll receive your new plates after installing them on your vehicle.
