The residency permit or Iqama updating process is quite straightforward. It can be done online via a secure banking portal. Here is how:
Update Iqama from Riyad Bank Website
Step 1: Open Riyad Bank Website
Step 2: Log in to your account and click on the 3 dots in the upper left corner.
Step 3: Click on your name at the top of the menu and select the “customer information” option.
Step 4: Next, choose “update national ID/ Iqama.
Step 5: Enter your date of birth
If the date of birth you enter aligns with the iqama, click the “update” button. Upon completing the process, you will receive a message from Riyad Bank stating that your iqama has been updated.
Update Your Iqama by Internet Banking
- Log in to your online banking account.
- A prompt in the upper left corner will state, “Your ID will expire soon.”
- Click on the settings and select customer details.
You will find the details of your iqama and update them. Follow the prompt to update your Iqama details.

Update Iqama Using Phone Banking
Riyad Phone banking also allows its users to update their iqama. Here is how;
- Call the Riyad Bank helpline at 920002470 & enter the 8-digit number written on your ATM card.
- Enter your phone banking password, and the system will send you an authentication code.
- Enter the authentication code.
- The phone recording will prompt you that your iqama is about to expire. Press 1 to update it.
- The system will tell you your date of birth according to their record. If it is correct, press 1, and if not, press 2.
- If you have pressed 1, your iqama will update automatically with the Riyad Bank system.
- If 2, the system will ask you to enter your correct DOB to update your ID.
Update Your Iqama by Physically Visiting the Riyad Bank Branch
You can visit the Riyad Bank branch physically to get your Iqama updated.
- Locate the nearest branch of Riyad Bank to your vicinity using Google map or their branch locator service.
- Head toward the machine and take your “customer service” token.
- Explain the purpose of your visit upon your turn.
- The customer care representative will ask for your iqama, make a copy of it and print an update request form from the system for you to sign.
