US, UK, and EU residents are eligible for Tourist visas on arrival

Jeddah — The tourist visa does not allow holders to perform Hajj or Umrah during the Hajj season. The Ministry of Tourism clarified the amendments to the tourist visa regulations.

The newly amended tourist visa regime requires tourists to comply with the regulations and security instructions during their stay in the Kingdom, including carrying identity documents at all times.

The ministry explained that holders of a GCC residency could enter the Kingdom on an e-tourist visa, provided the residency must be valid for at least three months.

This also applies to first-class visa holders’ relatives arriving with them and domestic workers arriving with their sponsors.

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia announced new regulations that allow residents of the GCC countries to apply for e-visa and UK, US, and EU residents to apply for a visa on arrival.

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb signed a ministerial order to make Saudi Arabia more accessible as visa applications become quicker and easier.

Travelers with valid tourist or business visas from the UK, the US, or any Schengen Agreement country will be issued a visa upon arrival, provided the applicant has visited the visa-issuing country.
