New Year’s Day – January 1, 2024

Saudi Founding Day- February 22, 2024

One of the newest additions to the Holiday calendar, Saudi Founding Day, began being celebrated after the Royal Decree declared it a public holiday in 2022 for both the public and private sectors. Now, people can enjoy breathtaking fireworks, drone shows, and a pleasant day out with friends and family.

Eid al-Fitr – April 9/10-14/15 2024

Arafat Day – June 15-16, 2024

Arafat Day falls on the second day of the Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims gather at Mount Arafat, symbolizing unity and equality before God. It is a day of intense prayer and reflection preceding Eid-ul-Adha, celebrating the ultimate sacrifice of the prophet Ibrahim to God. 

Eid al-Adha – June 17-19, 2024

Also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son. Families offer an animal, distributing the meat among relatives, friends, and the less fortunate.

Mawlid al-Nabi (Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday) – September 15-16, 2024

Mawlid al-Nabi is a joyous celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is marks gatherings, prayers, and expressions of love for the Prophet, rejuvenating one’s faith. 

Saudi National Day – September 23, 2024

To mark the momentous unification of the kingdom by King Abdulaziz in 1932, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates Saudi National Day annually. Festivities include parades, cultural events, and a patriotic display celebrating the occasion. 

Saudi National Day (Extended) – September 24, 2024

The celebration often extends beyond the official date with additional events, public festivities, and cultural activities. This extended period allows for a more immersive experience of Saudi heritage.
