Saudi Arabia has revised its visa fee structure, effective January 2025. The Ministry of Interior announced the changes through the Absher Business platform, outlining updated costs for essential services used by expatriates and businesses.
Key Updates in Visa Fees
- Exit and Reentry Visa Extension: Now costs SR 103.5.
- Iqama Renewal: Renewing a residency permit (Iqama) costs SR 51.75.
- Final Exit Visa: The fee for this service is SR 70.
- New Iqama Issuance: Issuing a new Iqama also costs SR 51.75.
- Employee Report Request: Priced at SR 28.75.
- Updating Passport Information: The fee is SR 69.
These fees apply to value-added services offered via the Absher platform and are not part of any annual employer package. The changes aim to simplify procedures for the millions of expatriates in Saudi Arabia, including workers from Pakistan, India, and Egypt.
New Digital Services for Expatriates
The Absher platform now allows expatriates and their dependents to renew Iqamas and extend exit/reentry visas online, even while outside Saudi Arabia. This update offers much-needed convenience for individuals unable to return for in-person renewals.
Timely Iqama renewal remains crucial for avoiding penalties or legal complications related to overstaying.
