Riyadh — Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, announced localizing key jobs in fun cities.
“Hundred percent of jobs at the mall, fun cities. Seventy percent of jobs in seasonal and permanent family recreational centers will be Saudized. This will be effective from September 23, 2022,” the ministry said.
Major fun city key jobs to be Saudized include branch manager, department manager, and assistant branch manager. The department supervisor, cash supervisor, customer service, sales specialist, and marketing specialist.
The minister also mentioned that some key jobs would remain exempted from Saudization. These exempted jobs are cleaning workers and loading and unloading workers. Operators of games that require specific competence.
This decision will bring job opportunities for male and female citizens of the Kingdom and increase their participation in the labor market and contribution to the economic system.
The ministry issued a procedural guide to inform employers and establishments about the mechanism to calculate the Nitaqat percentage of Saudization and the penalties stipulated for the violators of the regulations.
