Jeddah — Saturday, The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) announced that Saudi Arabia citizens had been stops and banned from traveling to 16 countries due to COVID-19 cases in those countries.

The list of countries includes
- Syria,
- Lebanon,
- Turkey,
- Afghanistan,
- Iran,
- Yemen,
- Somalia,
- The Democratic Republic of the Congo,
- Ethiopia,
- Libya,
- India,
- Indonesia,
- Vietnam,
- Armenia,
- Venezuela,
- Belarus.
Jawazat, The General Directorate of Passports, has emphasized the validity of the passport of Saudi travelers to non-Arab countries must be over six months.
According to Jawazat, the passport validity for traveling to Arab countries should be more than three months. Saudis traveling to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states must have a national ID card validity of over three months.
The Jawazat confirmed that the soft copy of the national ID on Absher and Tawakkalna applications is insufficient for travel to GCC states.
The original ID card and family registry are required for the travel, and a document of proof of dependents inside the Kingdom.

Jawazat has emphasized travelers require receiving three doses of vaccine against coronavirus. Or have received the second dose of the vaccine within the last three months.
There will be exemptions for those already excepted on medical grounds.
The under 16 and 12 years require two doses of the vaccine. Children under 12 years must have an insurance policy against coronavirus when traveling outside the Kingdom.
