The inception of King Fahad Medical City “KFMC” was a groundbreaking idea by King Fahad bin Abdulaziz. King Salman bin Abdulaziz was the Prince of the Riyadh region then, and laid the foundation stone of KFMC in 1983 (1403 Hijra).
Opening its doors
KFMC began its operations during the rule of King Fahad bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince at the time, inaugurated the project on 5 October 2004.
